I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone who has written in to Havant Borough Council objecting to these planning applications which would have irrevocably damaged our Island. Summary You may have been re-directed here from another web site, if so, please read on. This website is devoted to ensuring that any development in and around St Catherines Road, Hayling Island is performed in a considerate and sensitive manner. This website is named Maytrees since there are so many may trees in this area, but also because of the very fine specimen in No 40 St Catherines Road. In fact No 40 is called "Maytree Cottage" in recognition of the tree in the rear garden. Regretfully, Pullingers (Furnishers) Ltd (Pullingers) of Hayling Island need this beautiful May tree and other trees that are protected by Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) felled for their speculative over-intensive development application. We are looking for your support, as a reader of this page to object to this development application. Once you have been through this web site, please visit the What You Can Do page.
Pullingers have (February 2007) lodged an appeal to the Planning Inspectorate to overturn the decision by Havant Borough Council to refuse permission for this over-development. The closing date date for submissions has now passed, but we would appreciate your support in writing to the two directors of Pullingers to make your views known on their proposals. Please see the What You Can Do page. Thank you. Please note that if you were directed here while searching for Pullingers Leisure Vehicles who are based in North Essex and who specialise in new and used motor caravans, please click here. We have no dispute with this company and this site has no connection with them.. Please email us at mail@maytrees.co.uk if you would like regular updates on planning applications affecting West Town; your email address will be kept confidential and not disclosed to others. Comments Finally, if you have any comments to make or would like anything published (or removed) from Maytrees, please email mail@maytrees.co.uk. Thank you everybody for your support. Thank you.
